Learning platform for the classroom with areas for teachers, students and administrators: worksheet editor, class overview with points, grading of submitted worksheets and self-explanation tasks, for example in vector algebra and trigonometry.

It started in 2009 as the «Independent Learning» project (lernen.ethz.ch) for EducETH and grew into the SELF!/MINT learning platform for the MINT Learning Center at the Institute for Behavioral Sciences of ETH Zurich. Teachers build worksheets from elements such as text field, input field, multiple choice, image and divider, manage classes and student accounts, and grade submitted worksheets with rating levels and a correction pen. The class overview shows each student’s submission status and points for every worksheet.

Students see their worksheets with due dates, status and points and work on the self-explanation tasks directly in the platform. The admin area manages teacher accounts and their feature set, such as class management, comment fields, grade calculation and PDF archiving. From 2014 the platform ran as Intelligent Knowledge (intelligentknowledge.ch) on my own server and was used in schools for years.
